thank you...I did think of that, that it might come across as facetious. I can't help it though, what people take from this stuff, all I can say is I was sincere in what i wrote and hope that comes across. Picture credit goes to my husband who doesn't know how to take a bad picture
There's nothing I enjoy more than "no bullshit," particularly in list form. I need to practice that more. So, I'm staying. I think you might actually get more subscribers.
Staying because of posts like this 😄 I love your strangeness and honest, unfiltered writing!
I've been thinking a lot lately about how I'm subscribed to so many newsletters and Substacks, and I probably only read a fourth of them, but I have a hard time being honest with myself about which ones are worth the computer time and which aren't. (Yours is definitely worth it, hands down.)
Thank you Kait, and i love the thought of having, well, thoughtful readers like yourself. I haven't cracked unsubscribing v subscribing or why or when yet. If you get to a place where you've figure out how much and from whom you want your words and energies to come from over others (terrible sentence god), then do share
Yours might be one of my top ten favorite Substack posts. I feel the same way about many of your list of 20 & look forward to reading more of your posts
Shannan, this is utterly bizarre… just an hour ago I began the process of whittling down my subscriptions for the exact reasons you open this post with.
I’m subscribed to far too many substacks. I can’t possibly engage with them all (let alone read them) and it was beginning to feel disingenuous.
Anyway, scrolling through my unruly list, ‘Beautiful Losers’ was an immediate keep for me. Your writing always makes me laugh/think/smile/some glorious combination of the above. When I saw your post pop up on my phone just now I actually laughed out loud!
Staying forever, in your email list, in your home & heart.
don't worry guys I made him say that
the reasons you’ve listed for people to consider unsubscribing might just be the reasons they’ll stay. Love the picture you’ve shared in this post.

your post didn’t come across as facetious to me. I just think it will be relatable to many.
thank you, was hoping for that

I like a great lack of bullshit myself. Thank you Alex.
I dig the reverse psychology. ;-)
My plan all along 😈
Kidding, but can't help people thinking that. so be it, que sera sera, lorem ipsum
I think it's fabulous. Here to stay!

Staying because I just got here, and like you’re writing, and haven’t yet oversubscribed
May we all learn your ways (on not over-subscribing). Also hello Aaron 💙
My ways are only about a month old here, so we’ll see how long they hold 😂
it's very hard I promise
I’m staying..
I'm glad. I like your earrings
Oh thank you 🧚🏼♀️

Love this Shannan. Xxx
Your sincerity and no-bullshit is exactly why I stay subscribed!
#19 is spot on ...and also a huge reason in why I haven't posted yet 😅🙈
